Durability Code anchors ACI Foundation Council Forum program

A panel presentation, “What the New Durability Code Will Mean to You,” anchors the ACI Foundation’s Strategic Development Council’s Technology Forum 47, February 11-13 at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Charleston, S.C. ACI Committee 201, Durability member Dr. Lawrence Sutter will moderate a discussion where subject matter experts share knowledge and highlight ACI code from owner, designer, contractor, and researcher perspectives. 

Themed SDC forum sessions will showcase new and innovative equipment, materials, and applications with potential to advance the industry, among them: Science of Seawater-Mixed Cementitious Materials and Handheld Instant Air Meter – Fresh Total Air and Specific Surface in Situ. Other themed presentations and session topics include: “Shaped by Concrete” – PCA’s Integrated Campaign; Recent Developments and Initiatives from ACI Committee 222 on Corrosion of Metals in Concrete; Resiliency and Embodied Carbon; Embracing Innovation: Report on ACI’s New Technology Task Group; and, The DOT Mindset and Embracing Innovation. Leading into the forum, SDC is hosting a free workshop, “Productivity in Concrete Construction,” February 11.
