A key source of engineered concrete infrastructure solutions for West Coast markets, Jensen Precast has acquired underground structure specialist Brooks Products, operating Portland, Ore., and Ontario, Calif., plants. The deal marks an Oregon entry for Jensen Precast and enables it to provide an expanded product line and expedited service for a variety of infrastructure conditions. The Ontario location, moreover, affords Jensen Precast a robust will call service for southern California customers seeking walk-in purchases.

Brooks Products offers precast concrete catch basins, sectional vaults, parking bumpers, splash and sprinkler blocks plus meter, curb or traffic valve and pull or traffic pull boxes. The producer is recognized for knowledgeable, competent, and service-oriented sales professionals wise to the municipal utilities market. “Our number one goal as a company is to always strive to serve our customers with the right products in the right timeframes so they can complete their jobs on time and within budget,” says Jensen Precast President Eric Jensen. “Brooks Products positions us to offer more products and better service for our customers throughout the Western United States.”

Founded in 1910 as Art Concrete Works, Pasadena, Calif., Brooks Products changed its name in the 1950s and built a national reputation with accounts ranging from small local contractors to large government agencies. The Portland and Ontario product lines complement Jensen Precast solutions for private contractors and public agencies seeking products designed to meet standard utility specifications.

“Jensen Precast adds enormous value to the Brooks Products lineup of high quality concrete offerings,” notes Brooks Products’ Michael Heitman, former owner. “We are pleased that a family business with a reputation as respected as ours will continue to manufacture the products people trust with the same attention to exceptional service our customers have come to expect.”
