Construction Supply Group (CSG) has acquired Zia Concrete Supply and will integrate the Albuquerque-based distributor into its Southwestern business unit, Border Construction Specialties. The deal positions CSG with 74 branches, 1,150 employees, upwards of 25,000 customers, and 70,000-plus stock keeping units.

Zia Concrete Supply is the seventh acquisition by Sterling Group as a part of the CSG platform, formed in late 2016 from charter businesses Border Construction, Brock White Company LLC, and Stetson Building Products. The firm later executed a carve-out of five Gerdau USA distribution branches and bolted on two Midwest businesses, Carter Waters and Brock White of Wisconsin.

“We look forward to partnering with Mike and Grace Moore and Zia Concrete Supply’s employees as we expand our footprint across the Southwest into New Mexico,” says Border Construction President Brian Saker.

“This acquisition furthers our goal of providing comprehensive service and product offerings to professional contractors across North America,” adds CSG CEO Mitch Williams, noting that the company will continue to seek additions to its family of distribution businesses.
