Denver-based Summit Materials, Inc. has begun a search for a successor to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Douglas Rauh, who will leave the aggregate and ready mixed producer at year end. In the interim, Executive Vice Presidents Damian Murphy (East Segment), Shane Evans (West Segment) and Tom Beck (Cement Segment) will report directly to Summit CEO Tom Hill.

Nathan Ring joins Knife River Corp. this month as vice president of Business Development and Operations Support, returning to the MDU Resources Group after a brief tour as chief financial officer at a Bismarck, N.D., bank. He previously served as controller for the Knife River Pacific Region and sister company MDU Construction Services Group. In 2014, he was promoted to vice president, controller and chief accounting officer for parent MDU Resources.



Géraldine Picaud

LafargeHolcim Ltd. has appointed Géraldine Picaud as chief financial officer and Executive Committee member, effective February 2018. A French national, she joins the Group from Essilor International, the world’s leading ophthalmic optics company, and brings 20 years of experience leading and transforming Finance teams in complex, multinational companies. Picaud will succeed Ron Wirahadiraksa, who remains in his post through a transition period.

Kathleen Quirk, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Phoenix-based mining giant Freeport-McMoRan Inc., has been elected to the Vulcan Materials Co. board and will serve on the Audit and Finance Committees. She becomes the ninth independent director on the 10-member board.

West Sacramento, Calif.-based precast/prestressed producer Clark Pacific has added two veterans of commercial building enclosures to help accelerate development and innovative architectural façade systems. Carlo Eisner de Eisenhof joins the company as general manager, Integrated Glass Operations. His 25-plus years in design and delivery of façade systems include nearly two decades with Permasteelisa, where he held positions in Europe, Asia and North America; and, most recently, with Houston’s Admiral Glass.

“Clark Pacific is being asked to extend our prefabricated façade systems to include integrated window components and deliver more complete systems for owners,” says Bob Clark, president of Operations and Clark Pacific co-owner. “Carlo will play a key role in delivering these systems.”

Jim Lewis, a 25-year industry veteran, joins Clark Pacific as director of Sales, Architectural Façade Systems. He arrives from the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute, where he was responsible for the areas of architecture, BIM, and innovation. Prior to PCI, he led architectural community sales, outreach and educational efforts for Florida-based Gate Precast.

Gate Precast Co. has named Venkatesh Seshappa as engineering manager at the Kissimmee, Fla., plant. He has 30-plus years’ design experience, most recently as director of Engineering, Research & Development for Thermomass in Boone, Iowa. Prior to that, he held leadership positions with engineers WHKS & Co., Mason City, Iowa, and BSW International, Tulsa, Okla.
