World of Concrete 2016 exceeded expectations across the board, logging the largest attendee and exhibitor counts in seven years, Informa Exhibitions confirms. This year’s staging, February 2-5 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, drew just over 60,000 registered professionals, up from 55,800 last year, and featured more than 1,532 manufacturers, suppliers and service providers exhibiting across 744,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor space, a gain of 67,000 sq. ft.

The number of exhibitors was up nearly 300 year-over-year, coupled with attendance and seminar participation gains of 8 percent and 6 percent, respectively. The 2016 figures, notes Informa’s Construction & Real Estate Vice President Tom Cindric, “help solidify World of Concrete as the event for concrete and masonry professionals. The positive energy was everywhere on the show floor, and is a boost to the entire industry indicating a strong year ahead.”

“It was apparent that companies are bringing more of their crews to the show to gain valuable knowledge with our world-class education program and to experience the exhibit floor and outdoor exhibits filled with leading suppliers,” adds World of Concrete Director Jackie James. “In addition, the international representation increased this year to 22 percent. This is a very positive sign that the industry continues to grow and thrive.”

World of Concrete 2017 will be January 17-20 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the five-day seminar program kicking off January 16.
