Pearson adds gray water handling in heater series upgrade

50 Pearson 400

A Pearson exclusive, the gray water heater is standard on all the manufacturer’s hot water systems.

Pearson Systems has announced new features and improvements for its line of concrete plant water heaters—all aimed at increasing performance and efficiency while minimizing operating costs. Exclusive to the tank series are a water make up system that incorporates both a digital flow meter and a manual flow valve, combining for precise control of make up volume; new, simplified, more rugged unit design that reduces failures and routine maintenance schedules, and can be delivered fully assembled to lower installation costs; and, standard burners sized up to 3.5 million Btu, allowing for high heat recovery in all sized tanks while minimizing unit footprint.

Pearson models can now be ordered with a low maintenance system to heat gray/recycled water to any temperature. This allows gray water to be introduced back into mixes any time of year. Options include a water-blending valve system that extends the use of heated water, plus a preheat water make up system that can increase overall system efficiency by up to 20 percent.

Pearson heater systems incorporate their own water storage tank, up to 30,000-gal. capacity, eliminating the need for additional hot or cold water vessels. Since the heater’s hot water storage tank can be easily fitted to any brand of new or existing chiller, product engineers note, a saving of tens of thousands of dollars can be realized as a separate water tank for the chiller is no longer needed. Water heaters can be built to meet specific customer requirements, with options, basic or turnkey, portable or stationary, with or without an integrated chiller, to any layout/dimensions. —Pearson Systems, Easton, Md., 410/770-4617; www.pearsonsystems.com
