Voeller Mixers extends low-profile planetary line

The Precast Show 2015 saw Voeller Mixers unveil the latest addition to its Planetary Mixer series: a 3-yd. model powered by a single, 125-hp motor. It joins 1-, 4- and 5-yd. models, each designed with a) motors at the base of the vessel to eliminate headroom requirements and suit hard to fit batch plant conditions; and b) v-belt drive transmission, a signature component of the manufacturer’s Cyclo Mixer pan models.

The 3-yd. Voeller Planetary Mixer debuted in Orlando with a 125-hp Baldor SuperE motor, whose base positioning is key to the equipment’s low profile. The model is available with a range of liner, paddle and washout options.

Like its companions, the 3-yd. Voeller Planetary Mixer has a center hub that operates with inner and outer scraper blades to create continuous mixing throughout the cycle, eliminating dead spots while helping accelerate mix discharge. Two counter current mixer stars, coupled with additional fixed arms, impart aggressive mixing action.Standard on Planetary Mixer series models are ni-hard mixing paddles; hard faced mixing arms; AR235 liners; hydraulic discharge doors; discharge door dust covers; two-piece top covers with seals; and, inspection hatches. Among options are AR400 or Triten mixer liners, Triten paddles and three-nozzle washout system. — Voeller Mixers Inc., Port Washington, Wis.; 262/284-3114; www.voellermixers.com
