Fleet telematics providers GreenRoad and Zonar have entered an agreement to offer the former company’s real-time driver feedback and driver behavior monitoring application on the Zonar 2020 mobile tablet. The GreenRoad app provides customers what Zonar officials note is a robust set of driver behavior tools that help increase fuel economy, safety and fleet efficiency.
Features of the application targeting driver self-improvement include aggressive- driving in-cab alerts; scoring in five safety categories; online accounts for self-assessment; and, motivation and incentive programs. At the management level, powerful analytic tools identify drivers at risk or in need for training, potentially hazardous areas and problematic safety trends. The 2020 tablet is the first transportation-centric telematics platform to offer the integrated GreenRoad solution. It joins a rapidly expanding list of third party mobile applications available on Zonarʼs Android device, including Drivewyze and ALK CoPilot.

Built on an open, secure Android platform, he adds, the 2020 tablet is a versatile foundation for application development and driver productivity improvement. The tablet is available pre-installed with Zonarʼs electronic vehicle inspection reporting (EVIR), Hours-of-Service (ZLogs), ALK commercial navigation and two-way messaging.
