Silencure Penetrating Silane/Siloxane Fortified Cure and Seal products are intended to improve crew efficiency because they can be applied in a one-step process to fresh concrete within two hours of final finish—eliminating the need for water or resin curing, stripping and the traditional 30-day waiting period prior to silane or siloxane treatment. By simultaneously providing a curing compound plus penetrating silane/siloxane sealer, product developers contend, the technology greatly reduces labor through fewer jobsite visits.
It is available via four Silencure formulations: original, low-VOC, DOT and SRT (Solvent Replacement Technology), a patented water-based agent that can be applied to new broom finished, precast, or hand- or machine-troweled surfaces. Silencure SRT also suits older unsealed concrete, making it universally appropriate for contractor use.
