InsulTech, a completely insulated concrete masonry unit (ICMU) wall assembly offering energy efficiency and moisture management performance benefits, coupled with standard installation assurances, leads new offerings Oldcastle Architectural will bring to the American Institute of Architects 2014 Convention and Expo, June 26-28 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

A structural masonry unit with BASF Neopor molded expanded polystyrene insulation insert and thin veneer face, InsulTech is installed as a complete assembly. “Oldcastle continually develops innovative solutions that provide architects with the performance and aesthetic benefits they demand for their designs, while offering masons and contractors ease and efficiency on the job site,” says Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Ken O’Neill. “The InsulTech ICMU system offers standards in energy efficiency, wind-load resistance and Fire Integrity that will present an exciting new option for architects, developers and builders.”

The producer will show nearly two dozen wall and hardscape units or brands at the AIA Expo, including Artisan Masonry Stone Veneers, Quik-Brik, Trenwyth and EnduraMax High Performance Wall System. Among booth furnishings exhibiting key products will be a welcome table built of Mega-Tandem units—concrete block finished with the natural look of chiseled stone. Oldcastle Architectural is among nearly 800 exhibitors at the AIA Expo.
