Lehigh Hanson, Inc. has appointed Mark Carpenter to lead its Hanson Engineered Products division. Carpenter replaces Mike Leathers, who is departing the company after more than 20 years of service.

Part of Hanson Building Products North America, Hanson Engineered Products encompasses three divisions—Hanson Pressure Pipe, Hanson Structural Precast, and Hanson Pipe & Precast. As head of Hanson Engineered Products, Carpenter will lead a team of more than 1,400 employees across 18 plants in the U.S. and Canada.

Carpenter has been with Hanson since 2005 and has held a variety of management positions within the company. Prior to accepting his new role, Carpenter held the position of president of Hanson Pipe & Precast. He has also served as senior vice president of Hanson Building Products and vice president/general manager of Hanson Pipe & Precast.

“Mark has a proven track record of improving profits and boosting operational efficiencies,” said Plamen Jordanoff, president of Hanson Building Products. “His experience will help Hanson Engineered Products continue its upward momentum and further our reputation as the industry leader.”
