RMC Foundation staff has charted a two-mile course for its second annual Walk for Sustainability, May 9 in downtown Seattle. The 6:30 a.m. fundraiser will kick off the second full day of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association’s International Concrete Sustainability Conference, based at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel.
Walkers can register here and also set up their own pledge pages through a site link. Prizes will be awarded to walkers raising the most funds and garnering the most individual pledges. Proceeds will support Foundation activities.
This year’s Walk for Sustainability follows a highly successful debut in Cambridge, Mass., where NRMCA staged the 2011 International Concrete Sustainability Conference in conjunction with the Concrete Sustainability Hub at MIT Industry Day. The Foundation has added pre-walk and general sponsorship opportunities this year in Seattle.
