2011-12 NRMCA Chairman Karl Watson, Jr. has recognized Thomas L. Flynn and Kenneth G. Robinson for extraordinary dedication to the association and ready mixed industry. Both were presented the Chairman’s Award during the NRMCA annual convention.
A past (2000) NRMCA chairman and longtime board member, Flynn recently retired as CEO and CFO of the former Flynn Group, an Iowa-based ready mixed and aggregate producer. Robinson is executive chairman of Command Alkon Inc., the Birmingham, Ala., business he has evolved since founding Command Data in 1976. A merger with Alkon Corp. in 2000, followed by deals for domestic and overseas information technology specialists, has positioned Command Alkon as one of the largest global software and hardware providers for construction materials producers.
