Under General Manager Don Anderson, Terex Roadbuilding has steered its three manufacturing facilities—Canton, S.D., Fort Wayne, Ind. and Oklahoma City— to work more closely as a unit and offer customers improved equipment sales and service.

“Terex continues to be the only manufacturer to offer contractors an array of both asphalt and concrete equipment solutions,” says Anderson. “We are focusing on our core road and bridge building businesses and right-sizing those businesses to meet demand.”

The company has also realigned its field sales force to mirror the factories’ centralized focus. Under Director of Sales & Marketing Dave Rinas, all Terex Roadbuilding district managers in North America now have sales responsibilities for the entire road building equipment offering, which includes more than 75 products from the three manufacturing plants. Rinas joined Terex in 2009 as sales director for front- and rear-discharge mixer trucks in Fort Wayne and was recently named interim site director. His sales and support management responsibilities throughout the United States and Canada span all Terex Roadbuilding concrete and asphalt lines.

“We maintain a diverse and experienced field sales force, with some of our district managers tallying more than 30 years of experience in providing equipment solutions to dealers and contractors,” says Rinas. “By allowing them to sell the entire product offering—no matter if it’s an automatic roller paver from our new manufacturing facility in Canton, an asphalt paver or reclaimer/stabilizer built in Oklahoma City, or a mixer truck from Fort Wayne—this enables our district managers to develop a deeper relationship with dealers and customers.”
