John McPherson joined Vulcan Materials as senior vice president, Strategy and Business Development, in mid-October, also serving on the producer’s executive committee. As a director of global management consultant McKinsey & Co., he has worked with executive teams across several industries on matters of strategy, operations and organization effectiveness.
Formerly the managing partner of the McKinsey Dallas office, he began his career at Goldman Sachs & Co., working with capital-intensive, infrastructure-oriented clients. McPherson, 43, holds undergraduate and master of business administration degrees from Stanford University.
