PCI calls for 2011 Convention technical papers

PCI is accepting through April 4 candidate presentations—abstracts or completed papers—for the peer-reviewed program track at the Annual Convention/Exhibition and National Bridge Conference, October 22-25 in Salt Lake City. All abstracts and papers of case studies, or research or project profiles, must relate to the design and analysis, materials, production and erection, or maintenance and repair of precast concrete.

Suggested topics include Aesthetics and Finishes; Accelerated Construction; Blast Resistance and Progressive Collapse; SCC, Lightweight, High-Strength Concrete Mixes; Contractor Alternates, Value Engineering, and Design-Build; Designing and Testing Related to Fire Resistance; Designing for Seismic Forces; FRP Reinforcement and Technologies; High-Performance Concrete/High-Performance Solutions; Innovative Precast Concrete Structures; Life-Cycle Costs or Assessment; Material Technologies; Precast Concrete Pavements; Project Case Studies; Repair and Rehabilitation; SCMs in Precast Concrete; and, Sustainable Design Utilizing Precast Concrete.

Abstracts should be submitted through https://www.softconf.com/b/PCI2011. A technical committee will review the submissions, with authors of selected proposals notified by April 22, and final papers due July 15.
