On the heels of a major new precast/prestressed operation in Bartow, Fla., Metromont has taken a majority interest in West Palm Beach-based Royal Concrete Concepts (RCC), a modular precast systems specialist. “The investment allows us to further diversify our business with additional building systems and grow in other market segments,” says Metromont CEO Rick Pennell, adding that one of the biggest draws to RCC is its “management team, passion, and ability to execute. This partnership will strengthen both companies. We will continue to offer safe, attractive and energy-efficient building solutions that combine speed and quality construction with the capacity to endure.”

“Building on the strength and stability of Metromont, we are poised for additional growth and excited about our path forward,” affirms RCC President Wally Sanger, who will continue to head the company he founded in 1989. Operating from an advanced, recently opened production facility on a 180-acre, Okeechobee, Fla., site, RCC specializes in precast concrete modular building systems for residential, educational, commercial and military projects, providing turnkey construction services for both domestic and international markets. It ships unitized modules  virtually complete with all components and finishes, including cabinetry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, ceramic tile, paint, windows and doors.

RCC building systems have been used in over 20,000 applications, including 4,000-plus energy-efficient homes capable of withstanding up to185-mph hurricane wind loads. The producer has delivered modular units spanning more than 4 million sq. ft., much of it for Florida school classrooms.  The Royal Concrete capacity joins Metromont’s commanding Southeast precast/prestressed production network, with structural and architectural facilities in the Carolinas, Georgia, and Tennessee, along with the new operation outside Orlando.
