Mack Trucks and McNeilus Cos. have teamed up to anchor the sixth annual CIM auction, scheduled for January 20, World of Concrete day three. The Granite-mounted mixer truck leads the pool of equipment, products, and sports or entertainment packages subject to live, silent and online bidding for auctioneers conducting the event from Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall Room N262. The auction has a record 13 producers offering three to 10 loads of portland cement—industry heavyweights Cemex, Holcim (US) Inc., Lafarge North America and Lehigh Hanson matching each other on top volume donations.

With Richie Bros. staff once again holding court, a silent auction will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by the live auction. Online bidding will be available at www.rbauction.com for participants registering at the site a week prior to the auction.

“Proceeds will benefit the National Steering Committee and support current CIM programs [at Middle Tennessee State, Arizona State, California State, Chico, New Jersey Institute of Technology and Texas State] as well as help fund future program expansion,” says CIM Auction Committee Peter Brewin, adding that the Committee remains open to additional donations leading up to the 2011 World of Concrete (January 18–21).  —  214/693-6669; [email protected]
