The company highlights its trailer-mounted steam cleaners, reportedly used worldwide for removing oil and grease from heavy equipment; thawing and deicing machinery, pipes, valves, drains, and culverts; de-gassing tanks; and, cleaning and sterilizing equipment and facilities. Touted by product engineers as easy to operate, the mobile steam cleaner includes a generator and water tank for remote use where utility connections are not available.

The conservatively engineered units generate 2 or 4 gpm steam at 250 psi and 320_F, using 57 percent less water and producing 57 percent less runoff as compared to standard hot pressure washers, without splash back. In extremely cold locations, the unit can be started before leaving the shop to allow warm water circulation that prevents freeze-up en route.

All mobile steam cleaners come standard with an anti-freeze circulation package for easy winterization. In addition to operating the steam cleaner, the generator can supply remote power for lighting and tools. Moreover, the steam cleaners can reduce chemical usage, the manufacturer notes, as it provides reliable, trouble-free service for years.

A recent addition to the manufacturer’s line of steam generators is a waste-oil burner option, allowing use of waste oil to eliminate fuel costs while providing hot water or steam. The Steam-Flo generator produces 345 lbs. of saturated steam per hour and burns 2.9 gallons per hour of waste oil. Precast and ready-mixed concrete plants are among the most suitable settings, and industrial applications include closed-loop heating systems, steam-jacket heating, and thawing of pipes and valves. Examined by Hartford Boiler Inspector and registered with the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors, each Sioux Steam-Flo unit is ASME-compliant, meeting CSD-1 and Section IV requirements.
