Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Stress-con Industries has appointed Wes Dees vice president of Sales and Marketing. With 25 years’ precast concrete industry experience, he will be responsible for expanding the precast/prestressed producer’s market share in Great Lakes states, plus Kentucky.

Gate Precast Co. has named Hagen Lambert senior vice president of Operations at the company’s Oxford, N.C., plant. He had served in the same capacity at the Jacksonville, Fla., headquarters, where he is succeeded by Tom Newton, formerly vice president of Sales and Marketing. Besides plant operations, Newton will oversee the final construction phase of a 144,000-sq.-ft. enclosed facility, whereby Gate will increase its total precast system output while maintaining current lines of structural and hollow core production.

Separately, Gate Precast Southeast Regional Sales & Marketing Manager Brian Griffis has been tapped to lead the newly reorganized Southeast Sales & Marketing team, including Glen Switzer, Vern Smith and Marshall Bassett, who collectively bring over 50 years’ experience in precast/prestressed.

ORGANIZATIONS

David Dimmick has been named Northeast Precast Concrete Association executive director, bringing the Manchaug, Mass.-based group 20-plus years of association management experience, the past 10 years as New England Concrete Masonry Association executive director.
