The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association’s Concrete Sustainability Conference, April 13-15 in Tempe, Ariz., offers these speakers and themes for opening, general or closing sessions: Mark Wilhelm, Green Ideas Environmental Building Consultants, LEED green building rating system update; Wayne Trusty, Athena Institute, life-cycle assessment and environmental performance measurement; Dr. Franz-Josef Ulm, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Concrete Sustainability Hub, nanotechnology-based cement and concrete improvements; and, Dr. Paul Johnson, Arizona State University’s Ira A.
