Concrete CurrentsÌ Deals of the Decade special edition surveys deals ranging in size from $16 billion consolidations involving Cemex + Rinker Group and HeidelbergCement + Hanson plc–both completed in 2007–to the $135 million Hanson plc acquisition of Choctaw Inc. in 2002. More than 20 listings indicate primary participants in the deals, transaction values, and the approximate timeframe in which acquisitions were concluded.
