Navistar has closed on Continental Mfg. Co., Inc., indicating the business will operate independently with existing management; continue manufacturing mixer trucks and parts in Houston; and, mount drums on International and other OEM chassis. Navistar will use certain International Truck dealers to distribute and service the company’s CBMW mixers and mixer parts.

Continental maintains a strong brand and has consistently demonstrated product leadership in the concrete industry. [It] gives us another opportunity to provide an integrated, one-stop shop for our customers and helps expand Navistar’s industry-leading portfolio of purpose-built products, says Navistar North American Truck Group President Jack Allen.

Joining with Navistar will provide our ready-mix customers with expanded distribution through International’s broad network of dealers, adds Continental President Brij Walia, who remains at the helm and will report to Steve Guillaume, general manager, Vocational Trucks.
