While chemical de-icers prevent ice from forming on roadways, they also make it easier for corrosive chemicals to penetrate truck components like brakes; thus, Roadleveler offers a special anti-corrosion hydraplex enamel coating first applied through full immersion that doesn’t leave surfaces exposed to possible environmental contaminants. The enamel coating then is baked on at 200_F for several cycles to ensure proper adhesion.
Additionally, each Roadleveler brake shoe is coined, i.e., precision stamped in a 1,000-ton hydraulic press, to eliminate uneven wear for greater stopping power and longer life. Coining ensures that the shoe table radius and depth are manufactured to OEM tolerances, as it eliminates gaps between the shoe table and friction material to prevent seeping in of water and chemical de-icers.
