ACI’s Ninth International Conference on Superplasticizers and Other Chemical Admixtures in Concrete and Tenth International Conference on Recent Advances in Concrete Technology and Sustainability Issues will run concurrently, Oct. 12-16, at the Hotel Meli∑ Lebreros in Seville, Spain. Centered on a rapidly evolving area of research and commercial applications, the former event will see 60 presentations on topics ranging from The Impact of Chemical Admixtures on Sustainability to New Superplasticizer for Precast Concrete. Organizers of the companion conference aim to spotlight the most recent concrete technology and sustainability developments, citing among 60-plus presentations Concrete Construction: Economy of Socio-Cultural Responsibility and Sustainability Issues and Durability of Ultra-High-Performance Concrete. The conferences will also feature separate dinners honoring BASF Construction Chemicals President Dr. Alfred Kern, based in Trostburg, Germany, and ACI Executive Vice President William Tolley.
