With all areas of the construction industry currently in a downfall, World of Concrete 2009 organizers have the added challenge of tailoring their gathering especially to meeting attendees’ needs for maintaining workloads and cash flow. The show takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Feb. 3-6, with seminars running Feb. 2-6.

At the initial 2009 Space Draw, more than 825,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space was booked by companies gearing up to display products, tools, education, services and technologies. Celebrating the 35th World of Concrete, the 2009 event will once again feature special product and action areas, including The Producer Center, Material Handling, Concrete Repair and Demolition, World of Masonry, and Technology for Construction.

Returning in 2009 will be the Greensite exhibits and presentation area. With energy consumption and conservation a concern worldwide, combined with a booming interest in green building methods, concrete is more relevant than ever to commercial and residential construction, show organizers contend. In the Las Vegas Convention Center’s high-traffic South Hall, Level 2, exhibitors will showcase green building technologies and products along with interactive displays, video and live presentations. Premiering at the 2009 event alongside the Greensite pavilion will be the New Product Showcase.
