Jamieson Equipment Co., a major concrete plant and dry bulk material handling dealer in the Southeast, scheduled a four-day open house late last month. Timed with the dedication of a new headquarters office outside Atlanta, the agenda called for a variety of manufacturer-directed classes on improving plant operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, project management, plant design and automation. The Buford, Ga., facility stems from planning founder Ted Jamieson and son Michael undertook during the company’s 25th anniversary celebration in 2007. Their new two-story home is faced with Oldcastle Architectural’s Landmark Stone concrete veneer and Hanson Brick clay units. It rests on a foundation supplied, along with parking lot slab, by Thomas Concrete of Atlanta. A spun prestressed flagpole from Jamieson customer Stresscrete of Alabama stands prominently at the front entrance.
