NCMA will stage its 2011 International Concrete Exposition (Icon Expo) trade show in conjunction with that year’s ConExpo-Con/Agg at the Las Vegas Convention Center. NCMA and Association of Equipment Manufacturers, manager of the triennial ConExpo-Con/Agg, jointly announced an agreement the week following the megashow’s 2008 installment (March 11-15), which set attendance (145,000) and exhibit space (2.3 million sq. ft.) records.

NCMA had noted discussion of the co-location plan upon the mid-2007 unveiling of Icon Expo, a show which for NCMA succeeds the Manufactured Concrete Products Exposition. Produced by NCMA and the National Precast Concrete Association, MCPX concluded a six-year run in February at the Colorado Convention Center, Denver. Joining NCMA as Icon Expo charter organizers are the Cast Stone Institute; Expanded Shale, Clay and Slate Institute; Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute; and, Portland Cement Association. Icon Expo debuts Feb. 22-24, 2009, in Indianapolis.
