A definitive agreement announced in early February calls for Concrete Equipements to become a division of Command Alkon, a move the suitor contends will add depth and breadth to the array of products and services it offers ready mixed concrete, block, cement, aggregate and asphalt producers worldwide. Since 1998, Concrete Equipements has supplied batching, management, planning, and maintenance systems to the European, Middle Eastern and South African markets. Users of its technology include overseas operations of Lafarge, Holcim and Tarmac.

Within France, Concrete Equipements cites among its equipment partners domestic firms representing Liebherr, Skako and Teka. Command Alkon plans to continue selling and supporting all Concrete Equipements product lines, while retaining the firm’s existing management team, based just outside Paris. The deal continues development of a global network Command Alkon initiated in 1994 with the opening of a U.K. office, and subsequent locations in Malaysia (1996), India and Colombia (2006).
