Named 2007 Robert E. Yoakum Award winner by the National Precast Concrete Association, Mel Marshall is a longtime industry educator and principal of Delta, B.C.-based Mel C. Marshall Industrial Consultants. The award was presented at NPCA’s 42nd Annual Convention in Maui, Hawaii.
Marshall has been actively involved in the design, production and construction of concrete components and structures since 1960. Through NPCA’s Production and Quality School and other trade association education programs, he has trained thousands of production and management personnel in the fundamentals of quality precast fabrication. Additionally, Marshall shares his expertise in the precast and concrete pipe industry by serving on a number of standards committees and in a variety of trade associations. He has been honored by ASTM C-13 and by other institutions for his lifetime of service to the industry.
