According to TCA Executive Director Ed Sauter, Employers are faced with a myriad of questions regarding current immigration employment laws and what changes may be coming out of Washington. This presentation is meant to help business owners and managers determine what they need to do to ensure compliance and what they should be thinking about in the future.

Heading up his firm’s Immigration and Nationality Law Practice, Whitlock is a frequent lecturer on immigration topics; he also advises employers regarding best practices in employment-related topics. An author of numerous articles regarding immigration law enforcement and compliance, Whitlock was selected a Georgia Super Lawyer, Immigration in 2004 and has been listed in Chambers USA, America’s Leading Business Lawyers since 2006.

The convention will be held at the University of Maryland Marriott Inn and Conference Center, and feature intensive training and education seminars with breakout tracks focused on construction, engineering and two of the specific project markets where the tilt -up method is gaining rapidly: government and education facilities. Building on the theme Tilt-Up Û It’s a System, the event will showcase how tilt-up is more than just an option for the building shell, but rather a complete system that should be evaluated for all the advantages it brings to a structure including sustainability, durability, low maintenance, and energy efficiency. The first full-scale convention demonstration of tilt-up processes will also take place during the event finale on Friday.

Further, the Tilt-Up Supervisor’s Certification exam Û a joint program of the TCA and American Concrete Institute Û will be offered. Additional information and registration details are available by visiting www.tilt-up.org and selecting the TCA Convention from the Calendar of Events menu.
