Long-established Enterprise Precast Concrete, Inc., Wells Concrete Products, and Gage Brothers Concrete Products, Inc., have joined specialty precast

Long-established Enterprise Precast Concrete, Inc., Wells Concrete Products, and Gage Brothers Concrete Products, Inc., have joined specialty precast developer and product licensor AltusGroup. Each will offer CarbonCast products in the Midwest states that surround their respective plants. They bring to 13 the number of producers in Lancaster, Pa.-based AltusGroup.

Omaha, Neb.-based Enterprise is a leading provider of premium architectural precast, and will be licensed to produce CarbonCast cladding panels from its 20,000-sq.-ft. facility. Wells Concrete of Wells, Minn., which fabricates structural precast/prestressed and architectural products for buildings and transportation markets, will focus on CarbonCast high-performance insulated wall panels. A fourth-generation business and a leading precaster in the north central plains, Sioux Fall, S.D.-based Gage Brothers will add CarbonCast cladding to its architectural and structural product offerings.

CarbonCast is based on self consolidating mixes and C-Grid Û a noncorrosive, high-strength carbon fiber grid Û as secondary reinforcing in architectural panels and double tees and as sheer reinforcing in insulated wall panels. Depending on the application, C-Grid allows thinner precast sections and can reduce the weight of architectural panels by up to 66 percent while offering improved corrosion resistance, durability and insulation value.
