Baltimore, Md.-based specialty-contracting firm Structural Preservation Systems has acquired Delta Pacific Builders, Inc., a full-service concrete restoration, coating and lining company that also offers a variety of specialty floor and wall systems. For 40-plus years, from headquarters in Huntington Beach, Calif., the firm has provided services and products for commercial, industrial and residential projects. Delta Pacific Builders President and Owner Jim Andrews will continue in a key leadership role with the company. The newly elected American Society of Concrete Contractors president for 2007-2008 is Donald Marks, who heads Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.-based Form Works, Inc. Also elected at the association’s board meeting in Las Vegas earlier this year were four vice presidents, including Paul Albanelli, Livonia, Mich.; Clay Fischer, Jupiter, Fla.; Rocky Geans, Mishawaka, Ind.; and, Mike Poppoff, Moxie, Wash. Glen Shamblen, Tampa, Fla., was reelected secretary/treasurer. Serving as new board members are Ian Blair, Wilmington, N.C.; Anthony DeCarlo, Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio; Ray Merlo, Northville, Mich.; and, David Turner, Grand Rapids, Mich. Scott Anderson, Houston, was appointed a director to fill an open position.

An ASCC specialty group, the Decorative Concrete Council elected as council director Jay Fangman of Denver-based Colorado Hardscapes. Glen Shamblen was voted secretary/treasurer. Elected as new members of the DCC advisory board were Dennis Ahal, St. Louis; Ray Brooks, Sioux Falls, S.D.; Jeff Girard, Raleigh, N.C.; Byron Klemaske II, San Diego; Greg Randa, Yorkville, Ill.; and, Paul Schneider, Cincinnati.
