Hanson Roof Tile staged a grand opening last month of its 120,000-sq.-ft. Sanderson, Fla., operation, the company’s fifth Sunshine State facility and ninth plant overall. As illustrated by this significant investment and initiative, [we are] striving to become a major supplier of roof tile products throughout the United States, says Hanson Roof Tile Executive Vice President Dylan Walters. [The location] will allow us to better respond to the needs of Florida customers and increase our presence in Georgia and the Carolinas.

The Sanderson plant enables Hanson to work toward eliminating tile shortage crises Floridians experienced due to heavy hurricane activity in the past several years, he adds, and is part of a larger expansion that includes a new Dallas-Fort Worth facility and upgrades to a Luling, Texas, operation. In addition to an office building bearing Hanson Roof Tile product, Sanderson incorporates clay brick, limestone veneer, concrete pavers and pipe sourced from sister Hanson operations. Hanson Roof Tile is based in Deerfield Beach, Fla.
