Degussa also announces two new product line managers Û Robert Lesher and John Peoples Û who will contribute to the company’s Technology, Innovation and Sustainability Group by developing, implementing and supporting product line strategies and plans. In charge of products and technology in the Underground Construction market segment, Lesher will also direct marketing initiatives related to durability admixtures. Peoples will manage the Manufactured Concrete Products line and assume marketing responsibilities for the company’s core products and mid-range water reducers. Both Lesher and Peoples will work out of Cleveland headquarters, reporting to Anthony Schlagbaum, group manager for Product Line Management.

Ducon Technologies Inc., New York, N.Y., recently acquired Griffin Environmental Co., a designer and manufacturer of dust collection systems for concrete and other industrial plants. The company will be renamed Griffin Filters, providing designs for air pollution control in addition to solids processing and product recovery applications, and maintaining an array of standard and custom designed collectors. Griffin’s manufacturing capabilities will enable Ducon to address the growing need to reduce particulate matter emissions and create expanded environmental solutions for its customers, company officials note.
