Hubbell Inc. of Orange, Conn., has completed acquisition of privately held Strongwell Lenoir City Inc., a manufacturer of equipment and transformer pads, plus other precast concrete polymer products used to house underground electrical and telecom equipment. Now operating as Hubbell Lenoir City Inc., the entity spans Quazite and Splitt-Pad brands, along with Polycast, Polyvent and Duraguard surface drain products. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the transaction includes Lenoir City, Tenn., and San Jose, Calif., plants. Strongwell joins the Hubbell Power Systems Segment, whose products are used for construction, maintenance, and upgrading of the electrical transmission and distribution infrastructure.
