Embedded Veneer Front And Center At Pci Workshop

For the benefit of institute members attending the Architectural Finishes Workshop in Sioux Falls, S.D., the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI)

For the benefit of institute members attending the Architectural Finishes Workshop in Sioux Falls, S.D., the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) invited Chameleon Wall Systems to present its system for embedding architectural concrete masonry veneer onto cast wall panels. Gage Brothers Concrete Products, host of the late-2005 event, constructed sample panels for viewing: one panel was faced entirely with Chameleon, while another included both Chameleon and thin brick from Innovative Brick Systems. Approximately 60 representatives from thirty precasting companies across North America studied the panels and heard a presentation detailing Chameleon applications and benefits.

According to Harold Wasson, head of operations for Gage, Installation of the Chameleon veneer went quickly. It also meshed easily with the thin brick. Though we’d never seen it before, we’re now considering it for an upcoming job where we want a split-face finish.
