Trump campaign manager keynotes NRMCA-NSSGA session

Corey Lewandowski, who spearheaded much of the first year of Donald Trump’s 17-month White House campaign, stressed the new administration’s commitment to economic growth and job creation during a keynote address to a joint National Ready Mixed Concrete Association–National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association session last month in Las Vegas.

In his keynote, Corey Lewandowski assures session attendees of Donald Trump’s commitment to removing federal government barriers to employers.

“Businesses are making investments again because they feel the government is not going to drive them out of business,” he said. “We have to have a government that understands job creation starts at the small business level.”

Regarding an ambitious White House agenda and the prospects of working with Congress and political opponents, “President Trump does not look at a meeting as a zero-sum game. He’s a collaborator … who brings both sides together,” noted Lewandowski, now a partner in Washington, D.C., political and government affairs consultancy Avenue Strategies.

His upbeat address anchored the first joint session NRMCA and NSSGA had scheduled within their annual conventions since 1996. The conventions were co-located at the Encore Las Vegas, leading into the 2017 ConExpo-Con/Agg.
