Quikrete has acquired Target Products, Ltd., which as Western Canada's packaged-concrete leader has production and distribution facilities near Vancouver, B.C., and Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta. Prior to the deal, Quikrete's presence in Canada had been limited to greater Montreal and other parts of Quebec, greater Toronto and southwestern Ontario, plus key maritime markets.

Target Products offers what Quikrete officials note is a diverse consumer and professional product line, along with specialized engineering services for mining and concrete production. All Target management and employees will be retained and remain under former principals Dallas Mowat, Neil Duke and John Giraud.

“Target Products has a strong reputation based on outstanding employees, technical expertise, service, quality control and state-of-the-art production facilities,” notes Quikrete President and CEO Jim Winchester, adding that the company is a welcome asset that will complement Quikrete's Canadian market development.
