Effective this year, the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association Plant Certification program is adopting the ninth edition of QC Manual, Section 3, “Checklist for Certification of Ready Mixed Concrete Production Facilities.” Minor revisions to the checklist — approved by the NRMCA Board and Research, Engineering and Standards Committee — are noted in the preface to the document. The ninth edition is posted on the NRMCA Web site, www.nrmca.org.

Requests for certification should now use the ninth edition checklist. A change in certification fees has also been approved for 2006: $75 per plant and $12 per truck (NRMCA members); $400 per plant, $30 per truck (nonmember companies). Company contacts and inspecting engineers will be mailed notification of this change along with a copy of the revised checklist.
