After its recent closing on Mayne Block & Stone Co., Summit Brick & Tile Co. of Pueblo, Colo., is planning to expand the company's block-making capability, and has ordered new machinery and curing equipment for delivery later this year. Based in Gypsum, Colo., Mayne Block had limited concrete block production to a seasonal schedule due to curing capacity. The company brings Summit into concrete masonry production, and adds cast stone, concrete paving stone and Eldorado Stone precast veneer distribution. Summit has clay brick plants in Pueblo and Denver, plus two masonry showrooms.
