Expanding its Romanstone product line, St. Louis-based Kirchner Block & Brick has unveiled the Olympia series of pavers for both residential and commercial installations. A color-saturated, dense concrete face mix comprising the top ⅜-in. layer of each unit gives Olympia series pavers a smoother texture and richer color than traditional products, the company affirms, without long-term aging effects that typically occur. The new pavers are offered in five color palettes, including Terra Cotta Blend, Charcoal Blend, Turnberry Blend, Slate, and Pecan.

Notes Kirchner Sales Manager Mark Wilhelms, “The Olympia paver is made with finer sand granules to ensure bold color and a smoother surface while remaining skid-resistant.” A zero-slump concrete mix, produced under extreme pressure and high-frequency vibrations, yields unit pavers exceeding the standard specification for interlocking concrete paving units, as established by ASTM C936 (including average 8,000-psi compressive strength and average absorption no greater than five percent).
