The system anchors a Rhode Island residence to be featured on an “Extreme Makeover” segment scheduled to air Sunday, May 4 on ABC. Components for the project were fabricated at Oldcastle's Chase Precast operation in North Brookfield, Mass. Providing a finished basement upon installation, the customized precast foundation comes complete with foam insulation and paperless drywall. The system's custom-designed openings for doors, windows, and beam pockets ensure tighter tolerances and, thus, no leaks, company representatives affirm.

Available throughout the New England market, the Oasis Foundation incorporates high-density concrete formulated as a sustainable ‘green’ product resistant to moisture and water penetration. Finished structures provide owners a drier, mold-free and more comfortable living environment, while the system's R-10 insulation rating curtails energy loss by 10-15 percent.
